The team from the ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF KARATEDO (AAK) bagged the over-all championships trophy after winning 18 golds, 8 silvers and 15 bronzes out of 35 events in the just concluded SPORTS MASTERS KARATEDO OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS held in Singapore last 06 September 2008. The tournament was participated in by 257 athletes from 17 clubs in 9 countries.

Five (5) AAK Karateka won double gold medals each. They are:

Members of AAK TEAM PHILIPPINES were selected from the winners in the series of Invitational Age group Championships dubbed as SUPER KARATE KIDS @ SM SUPERMALLS held monthly at various SM malls all over the country sponsored by SM Supermalls, Nestle MILO and Island Photo.
