Celebrating
a week late, the Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) celebrated
its 38th Anniversary at the AAK Honbu Dojo (Main Gym) at the 5th floor SM Megamall
Building B last July 27, 2002. This celebration highlights 38 years of continued
excellence provided by AAK to its student as well as a victory celebration for
the recent winners in the last 11th Kobe-Osaka International Karate World Cup
in Dresden, Germany last July 20 and 21, 2002.
The Celebration began with a mass offering at the SM Megamall
chapel found at the junction of building A and B. Festivities and dinner soon
followed at the AAK Honbu Dojo as parents from the different AAK clubs brought
food to share with everyone present at the party.
A thanksgiving cake was presented to AAK President and founder
Manuel “Pocholo” Veguillas Shihan for blowing by the beloved parents
of the AAK students. A gift from Germany was also presented to Manuel Veguillas
Shihan by the contingent that brought home 10 trophies from the recently concluded
11th Kobe-Osaka International Karate World Cup in Dresden Germany.
